This is the first part of a cycle focusing on global expansion during the Renaissance, particularly the period just before the “Great Discoveries”.

The exhibition allows visitors to observe the four main parts of the world in the 15th century and its various protagonists: from the Ming of the Chinese Empire to the Incas of the Andes,as well as the powers on the chessboard that was Europe. Despite the isolation and distance between these continents, the movement of people and goods shaped an interconnected world. Maps, old objects and books, animated films and contemporary works arouse our curiosity and testify to the specificity of this universe between known and unknown lands.
